HRH Prince Salman praises growing Bahrain-UK ties

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, commended the historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are based on solid foundations and strategic partnerships.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations to achieve mutual aspirations. HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he met yesterday with the newly appointed Ambassador of the UK to Bahrain, HE Alastair Long, at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Deputy King welcomed the Ambassador and wished him success in performing his diplomatic duties. He highlighted the growing UK-Bahrain multisector collaboration through mutual visits and joint agreements.

His Royal Highness affirmed the importance of promoting peace, security, and prosperity and supporting the Kingdom’s development to benefit all. The Deputy King highlighted the UK’s pivotal role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding regional and global security and stability.

During the meeting, regional and global developments, issues of common interest, and ways to further Bahrain-UK cooperation to achieve mutual aspirations were discussed.
