Second meeting for Shura Council new legislative term

Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, yesterday chaired the second meeting of the second session of the sixth legislative term.

The council approved the minutes of the previous meeting. It was informed about the letters addressed to it by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding a number of issued decrees and decree-laws.

The session also approved the Reply to the Royal Speech Committee, chaired by Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman. It also elected Dr. Jameela Mohammed Redha Al Salman, Talal Al Mannai, Ali Hussain Al Shehabi and Ali Abdulla Al Aradi, as representatives of the Shura Council at the Executive Committee of the parliamentary delegation.

The results of the elections of the Shura Council’s standing committees were announced yesterday as follows: Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee: Chairperson: Dalal Jassim Al Zayed, Deputy Chairman: Adel Abdulrahman A; Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee: Chairman: Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, Deputy Chairman: Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa; Financial and Economic Affairs Committee: Chairman: Khalid Hussain Al Maskati, Deputy Chairman: Redha Abdulla Farj; Services Committee: Chairperson: Ibtissam Mohammed Saleh Al Dalal.
