The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) participated in the European Partnership Conference for Regulatory Organizations for Health and Social Care Services in Cardiff.

The event aimed to review modern electronic systems used in regulatory organisations to enhance work processes in the health and social care services sector.

During the conference, Dr. Hessa Sabah Al Dosari, Head of the Health Institutions Regulation Department, presented two electronic systems launched by the Authority in 2021.

These systems, aimed at licensing and inspecting health institutions, were reviewed for their effectiveness in enhancing the NHRA’s work processes.

One of these systems is a smartphone application for inspectors, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

The app is used by inspectors to conduct inspections, monitor violations, and prepare inspection reports electronically.

Additionally, a new and smart idea was highlighted during the conference, called “self-service,” which is linked to Amazon’s cloud computing and is a key feature of the Monsha’at system for organising health facilities.
