Bahrain donations pour in for Gaza aid campaign

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa generously donated BD3 million towards the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national humanitarian campaign to provide aid to the Palestinians in Gaza.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also made a kind contribution of BD500,000.

These contributions, along with others, had resulted in the total donations exceeding BD6 million within three hours since launching the telethon, organised by the Bahraini National Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People in Gaza in collaboration with Bahrain TV.

Among the major contributors were Bapco Energies (BD500,000), Lulu (BD25,000), Seef Properties (BD25,000), Zain (BD18,850) NBB (BD100,000), GPIC (BD100,000), BisB (BD25,000), BEYON (BD100,000), BBK (BD100,000), Kuwaiti Finance House (BD100,000), Beneft (BD25,000), Shura Council (BD50,000), Council of Representatives (BD50,000), Zakat and Charity Fund (BD50,000), Al-Saif Properties (BD25,000), Zain (BD18,850), StC (BD18,850), A.M Yateem Brothers W.L.L (BD20,000), Sunni Endowment Administration (BD25,000), Zamil Group (BD50,000), EBRAHIM.K.KANOO B.S.C (c) (BD20,000), Al Salam Bank (BD50,000), GOOD WORD (BD11,340), Ahmed Ismail Al-Tahan (BD15,000), Maza (BD10,000), AL-HAWAJ (BD10,000), Awal Dairy Company W.L.L (BD5,000), Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company BSC (BD10,000), AL- KOOHEJI ELECTRICAL (BD20,000), Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BD100,000), NASS (BD40,000), GIG Bahrain (BD20,000), Trafco Group (BD10,000), Bahrain Development Bank (BD5,000), McDonald's (BD37,700), YUSUF BIN AHMED KANOO (BD20,000), ISLAMIC ASSOCIATION (BD 80,000) and Abdulaziz Hamad AlSaleh (BD5,000). 

Contributions from companies, citizens, and residents poured in yesterday in a show of solid support and solidarity for the people of Gaza in their time of need.

The telethon, which was aired on Bahrain TV, was initiated by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the directives of HM King Hamad, the Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

The event featured national figures and encouraged organisations, companies, citizens, and residents to contribute to the cause.
