Breast Cancer Awareness Day focuses on ways for early detection and prevention

The Ministry of Health organised an awareness day about breast cancer with the participation of high-ranking officials and ministry employees. Present were Health Minister Dr. Jalila bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Undersecretary Dr. Walid Khalifa Al Mana and Dr. Ijlal Al-Alawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, along with other ministry employees.
The event featured various activities such as measuring weight, height, waist circumference, and blood sugar levels, as well as providing consultations and brochures to increase awareness about breast cancer and reduce its risks and complications. The Ministry’s programmes and plans have been dedicated to preventing and limiting the spread of breast cancer, with a focus on early detection and prevention.
The Reassurance Campaign, which aims to break the barrier of fear, is one of the most important programs of the Ministry in this regard. The event emphasised the importance of periodic preventive examinations and early detection of breast cancer to reduce mortality rates and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
