His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm commitment to the establishment of two-state solution for Palestinian people, viewing it as a key guarantor of enduring peace and stability in the region.

Speaking at the Cairo Peace Summit chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, King Hamad emphasised that lasting peace in the Middle East hinges on safeguarding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

“There will be no stability in the Middle East, without securing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people,” warned HM King.

King Hamad underscored that the two-state solution represents a genuine pathway to coexistence between the Palestinian and Israeli populations and holds the promise of a just, comprehensive, and sustainable regional peace.

This declaration closely follows Bahrain’s launch of a donation campaign, with King Hamad contributing $8.5 million and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, donating BD 500,000.

Furthermore, King Hamad confirmed Bahrain’s unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

HM highlighted the dire conditions faced by the Palestinian people and the urgent necessity to address the humanitarian crisis through continuous diplomatic initiatives involving regional and international stakeholders.

“The suffering of the Palestinian people and the dire conditions they are undergoing underscore the pressing need to contain this dangerous crisis and its humanitarian consequences,” HM King said.

HM King further stressed the need to de-escalate the situation, cease military operations, and secure the release of all prisoners, hostages, and detainees.
