Generous contributions continue from Bahrain for Gaza campaign

The "Day of Solidarity with Our People in Gaza... We Are With You" campaign continued to witness an outpouring of support yesterday.

The campaign kicked off with His Majesty King Hamad donating a substantial $8.5 million, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, contributed BD 500,000.

On the first day of the campaign, a considerable sum of BD6,059,847 was raised through various contributions.

Bapco donated BD 500,000, while the National Bank of Bahrain, Fakhro Group, Alba, GPIC, and Kuwait Finance House each donated BD 100,000.

The Zakat Fund and Al Salam Bank contributed BD 50,000 each, with Nass Company providing BD 40,000.

Lulu Hypermarket, Benefit, and Seef Properties donated BD 25,000 each, and Al Kooheji Electrical and Construction Contracting, GIG Bahrain, Ibrahim Khalil Kanoo Company, and Yousef bin Ahmed Kanoo Company each contributed BD 20,000.

Zain offered BD 18,850, and Al Hawaj, Travco, and Maza gave BD 10,000 each.

Yesterday, Bahrain National Holding and Gulf Hotels Group donated BD 20,000 each, while SICO joined the effort with a BD 10,000 contribution.

This charitable initiative, held under the directives of His Majesty, who serves as the Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), is organised with the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

HH Shaikh Nasser urged all institutions, companies, citizens, and residents to participate in this noble humanitarian campaign. Its aim is to provide relief aid to the Palestinian people enduring challenging circumstances and to extend a helping hand in alleviating their suffering.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, in response to His Majesty the King's directives, made the first contribution to the initiative by donating BD 100,000.

Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, RHF Secretary-General and CEO of the National Committee for Supporting the Palestinians in Gaza, revealed that over $16 million was collected during the campaign's first day.

Taha Abdul Qader, the Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain, expressed high appreciation for His Majesty the King's directives to support the Palestinian people under various circumstances. He highlighted the kingdom's unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
