Two vital Southern Governorate development projects inspected

His Excellency Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agricultures, and His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, yesterday inspected the Riffa Central Market Development Project and the first phase of the Ain Al Haninia Development Project.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Municipalities Affairs Undersecretary, Mohammed Saad Al Sehli, Acting Director-General of the Southern Area Municipality, Abdulla Ibrahim Abdullatif, Southern Area Municipal Council Chairman, and Rawya Al Mannai, Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services were present.
The minister and the governor inspected the two projects, and were informed about their progress. Minister Al Mubarak asserted that plans to develop central markets will continue, as they play an important role in meeting the citizens’ daily needs, noting that the Riffa Central Market Development Project is among the main vital projects in the Southern Governorate.
He affirmed that work is underway to implement development and service projects that meet the citizens’ aspirations.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa underlined the Southern Governorate’s keenness to continue its field communication with the local citizens to be informed about their needs and remarks, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
