Bahrain King’s support for Palestinians hailed by Representatives Council

The Council of Representatives has expressed deep pride in the tremendous diplomatic efforts exerted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Council of Representatives affirmed the historical, firm stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is confirmed by HM the King’s tireless efforts, to bring about just, lasting and sustainable peace in the region, stressing the kingdom’s call for adherence to the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.
The Council of Representatives praised HM the King’s speech at the Cairo Summit for Peace, in which HM asserted that there would be no stability in the Middle East without securing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Council also hailed HM King Hamad’s call for the need to deescalate the situation, end the military operations, provide protection to innocent civilians, allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, release prisoners, hostages and detainees, as well as adhere to humanitarian and international laws.
Visits In its statement, the Council of Representatives lauded HM the King’s support for the Palestinian cause during HM’s official visits to the United Kingdom, Italy and the Vatican, as well as during his participation in the Riyadh Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
HM the King’s stances affirmed the kingdom’s pivotal and humanitarian role in promoting peace and coexistence, upholding the principles of dialogue and peaceful settlement of conflicts and crises, as well as safeguarding the region’s security, stability, and progress, the Council of Representatives Representatives Council added in its statements.
