BDF mourns loss of officer in line of duty

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) deeply mourned the tragic loss of the fallen serviceman, Major Mohammed Salem Mohammed Anber, who valiantly gave his life in the line of duty. In a statement, the BDF said that on Wednesday, October 25.

Major Anber passed away due to serious injuries as a result of the act of aggression conducted by the Houthi forces on Monday during his dedicated service in the Arab Coalition forces as part of Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope along the southern borders of Saudi Arabia.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force extended its deepest condolences to the family of the fallen serviceman, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace and for the injured a speedy recovery.

BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received the body of Major Anber at the Isa Air Base. H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Defence, and Lieutenant General Theyan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, the Chief of Staff, were present.

Royal condolences

The BDF Commander-in-Chief conveyed the condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister.
