Renowned Bahraini artist Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, chairman of the National Council for the Arts, is currently participating in the contemporary art exhibition titled “Forever is Now.”

The exhibition, organised by “Arte d’Egypt” and sponsored by Unesco, the Bahraini Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, is being held in the enchanting desert of the Giza Pyramids in Egypt.

Running until November 18, the exhibition aims to link the ancient civilization of Egypt with art, imagination, and creativity.

Rashid drew inspiration for his artwork, “Parts of a Labyrinth,” from a historical tale about a mysterious maze believed to exist beneath the pyramids’ desert.

Despite numerous drawings and maps found in ancient books, scientists and researchers have yet to discover tangible evidence of its existence.

“Parts of a Labyrinth” is a captivating installation comprising 12 aluminium pieces ranging from two to five metres in height.

It took four months to create in Bahrain and will return there after the conclusion of the exhibition.

Rashid expressed his joy and pride in being part of this extraordinary exhibition, which seeks to foster a profound connection between ancient Egypt’s legacy and the world of art.
