The Arabian Gulf University is currently hosting the “Features of Bahrain Civilization” mobile exhibition, launched by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) earlier this year.
The exhibition aims to provide visitors, students, and academic and administrative staff with a collection of introductory panels and historical texts highlighting various historical and heritage sites in the Kingdom of Bahrain from different eras.
Among the prominent sites showcased are the Unesco World Heritage-listed archaeological sites, including the Bahrain Fort site, the Pearling Path site, and the Dilmun Burial Mounds site. During the exhibition’s opening at the university, Dr. Salman Al-Mahari, the Director of the Museums and Antiquities Department at the BACA, provided a detailed explanation of Bahrain’s significant monuments, such as the Dilmun burial mounds, the Temple of Draz, the Bahrain Fort, and more.
The exhibition’s purpose is to deepen knowledge of Bahrain’s ancient historical and cultural heritage by bringing cultural activities to public places and spaces across the Kingdom. It aims to introduce Bahrain’s heritage and civilisation, offering comprehensive information about historical sites.
