Bahrain companies to showcase new tech at ‘The Big 5’

Bahraini construction companies will showcase their innovative technologies and projects at a major construction show being held in Dubai today.

Middle East’s largest construction exhibition, ‘The Big 5’ gets underway today at the presence of over 80,000 participants. Apart from Bahrain, Middle Eastern and South Asian countries such as Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, India and Pakistan will be represented at the event. Companies from European nations such as the UK, Spain, Germany, Greece, and the Italy will also be present.

The event will include a ‘Design summit’. “The Design Summit will bring together architects, consultants, urban planners, engineers and contractors. It will be the only conference in the region to offer free detailed insight into the latest design trends, new technologies and techniques such as sustainability and cost-efficiency, while providing unparalleled on-the-ground analysis of local and regional Middle East markets,” organizers said.

Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) Managing Director and CEO Saeed Mohammad Ahmad Al Tayer will be at The Design Summit delivering the keynote speech.

Another feature of the event is that it will be packed with various educational workshops. “2015 is another packed year of even more free CPD workshops, meaning there are more opportunities than ever before for visitors to improve their industry credentials and help achieve their career goals. Each workshop will be delivered by an industry specialist, who will share cutting-edge insight into an ever evolving business landscape drawing on real world experience from within the boardroom,” organizers said.
