Economic diversification creates jobs and advances Bahrain’s competitiveness: HRH Prince Salman

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the importance of economic diversification efforts to provide quality job opportunities for citizens, support sustainable development, and advance the Kingdom’s competitiveness, in line with the Economic Recovery Plan and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

HRH Prince Salman made the statement as he met yesterday with the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdullah Nass, at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.

His Royal Highness noted that the public-private partnerships have contributed to the success of national initiatives and programmes aimed at serving citizens, providing all with quality job opportunities, and achieving economic development, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s far-reaching visions.

Private sector contributions

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the Kingdom’s pride in the contributions of the private sector in furthering Bahrain’s wide-ranging development. He commended the BCCI’s prominent role in focusing the efforts of the private sector to advance Bahrain’s development and meet the citizens' aspirations.

Mr. Nass expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with HRH Prince Salman, noting HRH’s commitment to supporting the BCCI’s role to benefit the Kingdom and its citizens.
