Bahrain praises Saudi services for pilgrims

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, noted Saudi Arabia’s efforts to facilitate the performance of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages and their ongoing commitment to developing the procedures for the pilgrims.

HRH Prince Salman commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia in preparing for the yearly Hajj season and managing the affairs of Hajj campaigns, as well as providing all means of comfort for the pilgrims.

His Royal Highness was speaking as he received yesterday the Minister of Hajj and Umra of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the depth of longstanding Bahrain-Saudi relations, which have reached advanced levels across all sectors, in line with the strategic partnership that is based on a solid foundation of joint cooperation, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, HE Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.

Development and initiatives

HRH Prince Salman outlined that the yearly development of the Hajj and Umrah services for pilgrims, as well as the ongoing initiatives to enhance the religious and cultural experience for them, is a result of Saudi’s development and progress across all fields.

He expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Hajj and Umra of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs in Bahrain to coordinate the necessary preparations for Bahraini pilgrims for next year’s 1445 Hajj season.

HE Dr Al-Rabiah expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and for his commitment to furthering bilateral relations, particularly in the affairs of Hajj and Umra. HE Dr Al-Rabiah concluded by wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
