Mervyn James, a new fashion brand focused on adaptability and inclusivity, was launched in Bahrain last night with an event at the Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa. It was attended by several fashion designers in Bahrain, as well as other fashion enthusiasts.
The brand’s founder, Mervyn James, believes that dressing should be simple and that clothes should adapt to the wearer, rather than the wearer adapting to their clothes. Linear Clothing's Resort Cruise collection features 30 designs suitable for both men and women and a wide range of body types.
The patterns are incorporated into the sizing, so there is no need to cut separate designs for men and women, Mervyn Jame told The Daily Tribune. The materials used in the collection are soft and breathable, suitable for the hot climate of Bahrain and the GCC region. Over 50% of the fabrics are sourced from local textile weavers to support the dying art of textile weaving in Bahrain.
Linear Clothing will initially be available online, with the possibility of opening a few more stores in the future. In addition to its focus on adaptability and inclusivity, Mervyn James is also committed to sustainability. Mervyn James is an exciting new addition to the fashion scene and looks forward to dressing the fashion-forward residents.
