Ensuring safe and successful camping season a priority

His Highness Southern Governor, Chairman of the Security Committee, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, stressed the role of the security bodies in bringing the camping season to success through security and awareness preparations and campaigns.

He also highlighted the role of cooperation as an implementation of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to reinforce safety and security. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali made the statements as he chaired the 11th Security Committee meeting for the year 2023.

Present were Deputy Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Head of Isa Town Police Station Lt.Colonel Hamad Al Hamadi, a number of officers and security directorates’ representatives and a number of officials from the Southern Governorate.

HH Southern Governor was briefed on the security plans to achieve security readiness.

Safety report

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali reviewed the safety report submitted by the General Directorate of Civil Defence regarding the fire that broke out in the warehouses, as he praised the security readiness of the Civil Defence personnel.

The Southern Governor discussed the plans and programmes for the events and celebrations during the coming period in a way that ensures the safety of everyone, urging the people to follow the safety guidelines of the General Directorate of Traffic and the General Directorate of Civil Defence.

His Highness the Governor also reviewed the observations and security needs received through field visits. The attendees and representatives of the security directorates praised the role played by His Highness the Governor in following- up and implementing the governorate’s initiatives.
