HRH Prince Salman approves national telecoms plan

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict (102) of 2023, approving the Sixth National Telecommunications Plan, based on a proposal by the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, following consultation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the approval of the Cabinet.
The edict stipulates the following:
Article (I):
The Sixth National Telecommunications Plan accompanying this edict shall be adopted and shall be enforced for three years.
Article (II):
The edict and the accompanying plan shall be published in the Official Gazette. The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications shall supervise their implementation, which comes into effect the day after the date of its issuance.
