The Financial and Administrative Control Bureau report has revealed safety issues in Bahrain's government buildings, including hospital buildings, health centres, the University of Bahrain, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, the Capital Secretariat, and three municipalities.
The report also reveals a lack of fire extinguishing equipment in certain government agency buildings. Government hospitals have acknowledged the need for safety improvements, particularly at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
They have secured approval from the Ministry of Finance and National Economy and are collaborating with the Ministry of Public Works to implement a comprehensive maintenance plan. Primary healthcare centres are also assessing safety requirements related to fire prevention and control.
The University of Bahrain, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, the Capital Secretariat, and three municipalities are also procuring necessary equipment.
