HRH Prince Salman bolsters Bahrain-India cooperation

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to furthering Bahrain-India multisectoral cooperation, noting the role of private sector partnerships in advancing bilateral relations and collaboration.
This came as HRH Prince Salman yesterday met with the Chairman of Poonawalla Group, Dr Cyrus Poonawalla, at Riffa Palace. HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the potential for further private sector cooperation due to longstanding bilateral relations. He noted the commitment of leading businessmen of both countries in furthering Bahrain-India economic and investment opportunities.
Dr Poonawalla expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with HRH Prince Salman, noting His Royal Highness’s commitment to furthering private sector collaboration between both countries. His Royal Highness highlighted the successful partnership between Bahrain and India during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the National Vaccination Campaign. HRH noted the contributions of Poonawalla Group as a global vaccine manufacturer.
