Bahrain keen to fight trafficking in persons

Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO Nibras Mohammed Talib, stressed the importance of continuing work and coordination between various parties to develop the work environment in line with the rapid changes in the labour market, and enhance the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to proactively address all forms of trafficking in persons.
Also Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, Talib added that Bahrain was able to gain the trust and respect of countries around the world for its advanced measures in this field.
Throught it, he noted, the Kingdom was enabled it to achieve the first category in the annual US State Department report on the classification of countries in the field of combating trafficking in persons, as the first country in the Middle East and North Africa region to reach this category and maintain it for six consecutive years within Years (2018-2023).
This came during his chairmanship of the third meeting of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons during the current year, where Talib explained that maintaining the position the Kingdom has achieved in terms of combating trafficking in persons requires sustained efforts in following up on market developments.
