Stage set for Bahrain Animal Production Show on November 23

Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced that the sixth edition of the Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee 2023) will kick off on November 23.

It is considered one of the largest exhibitions specialising in animal production and rare breeds of birds, poultry, goats, sheep, and horses, which are only found in the Kingdom. The show will be held under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, reflecting the Kingdom’s keenness to preserve livestock and consolidate food security and commensurating with the plans and programmes implemented by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance investment in this vital sector in a sustainable development manner, he added.

The Undersecretary extended his appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), for his support in preparing the Bahrain International Endurance Village to hold the exhibition for the sixth time in a row, which received more than 240,000 visitors from inside and outside the kingdom in the previous editions.

This year’s edition, held on November 23-25, will display various types of livestock, sheep, and rare and purebred breeds of animals and birds. The Farmers’ Market will showcase their products, a cowboys village, dogs circus, a games park (Al Areen), an area allocated for food trucks, and other entertainment and educational activities will be available.
