MP Dr. Maryam Al-Dhaen affirmed that Bahrain's hosting of the 19th edition of the "Manama Dialogue 2023" summit is part of the Kingdom's commitment to fostering dialogue with nations worldwide. This reflects Bahrain's strategic direction and underscores the global esteem and trust that the capital, Manama, holds.
The summit is witnessing the participation of over 450 individuals from delegations representing 40 countries, including political, military, and security leaders, academics, official figures, and media professionals.
Dr. Al-Dhaen highlighted that the current version of the Manama Dialogue covered crucial topics such as war, diplomacy, tension alleviation, new regional peace initiatives, energy security policies, and strategic cooperation, with a focus on shaping the future of the Middle East. She emphasised the summit's advanced regional engagement, featuring the participation of foreign ministers from European and regional countries.
Dr. Al-Dhaen attributed the continued success of the Manama Dialogue, initiated in 2004, to the wisdom of Bahrain's leadership, particularly His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Describing the Manama Dialogue as a unique platform, Dr. Al-Dhaen noted its significance for government ministers, policymakers, experts, opinion leaders, and business communities to engage in discussions addressing the most pressing foreign policy, defense, and security challenges in the Middle East.
