Study in India Counselling Meet 2023 kicks off in Bahrain

The ‘Study in India Counselling Meet 2023’, a two-day education fair organised by SAPE and supported by the Indian Embassy in Bahrain in association with the Laurels Centre for Global Education, kicked off yesterday at the Ramee Grand Hotel in Seef.

The event will showcase over 15 of India’s highly-ranked universities and colleges from different parts of the country.

It provides students with a unique opportunity to make on-the-spot applications to the university or college of their choice and avail of up to 100% merit-based scholarships.

Inauguration ceremony

The two-day event was inaugurated yesterday by the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, HE Vinod K. Jacob. In his address, Mr. Jacob highlighted that the main focus of the event is to invite students to study in India under various scholarships.

He also encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with representatives from Indian universities and colleges to learn more about their programmes and admission requirements.

”Live in Bahrain, and choosing India to study will be the right choice,” the ambassador said at the event.

Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Thappa, Founder and Managing Director of Sape Events and Media Pvt Ltd., said: “My message to parents in Bahrain is that this is the best opportunity to get to know about the Indian education facilities and start your children’s careers.”

Highlighting the importance of India’s National Education Policy 2020, Dr. Anson K., Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Christ University, said, “This has given a lot of opportunities for the students, and it’s a transformational decision.”

“The four years just after your school are very crucial to deciding the next 40 to 50 years in your life.

To achieve your career goals, you should select the best educational career partner. This platform will help you find them,” said Dr. J.N.V. Raghuram, Associate Professor and Assistant Director International Relations, Vellore Institute of Technology.
