Gulf Air reports data breach, says operations unaffected

Gulf Air revealed a data breach on November 24, impacting its IT system, potentially compromising email and client database information.
“As a result of a data breach incident targeting its IT system on November 24, some information from its email and client database may have been compromised due to unauthorised access,” the airline said in a statement yesterday.
Gulf Air said it activated “necessary contingency plans” instantly to contain the incident.
Authorities are notified, and the airline is collaborating on a thorough investigation.
The national carrier expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to customers.
Gulf Air said it takes such matters extremely seriously and regrets any inconvenience this incident may cause to its valued customers.
