The Shura Council is set to deliberate on a report from the Public Facilities and Environment Committee concerning the proposed law on strategic goods stockpiling today.
Simultaneously, the Services Committee will present a report on the suggested addition of a new article (repeated as Article 16) to Law No. 17 of 2007 concerning vocational training.
The proposed law on strategic goods stockpiling, introduced by Shura Council members Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadil, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, Dr. Mohammed Ali Hassan Ali, Ali Abdullah Al Aradi, and Dr. Bassam Ismail Albin Mohammed, aims to secure the availability of strategic goods meeting the sustainable needs of citizens and residents within the Kingdom.
This move contributes to domestic market stability, controls commodity prices, prevents monopolistic practices, ensures individual safety in terms of goods, and safeguards the national economy by maintaining an ample and secure stockpile of strategic goods.
Meanwhile, the proposed law to add a new article (repeated as Article 16) to Law No. 17 of 2007 concerning vocational training, presented by members Ijllal Isa Bubshait, Dr. Hani Ali Al Saaati, Dr. Jameela Mohammed Rida Al Salman, Dr. Mohammed Ali Hassan Ali, and Sadeq Eid Al Rahma, aims to compel employers to contribute to the national effort in making Bahraini citizens the preferred choice for employment.
It mandates those meeting the conditions to provide vocational training for Bahraini university graduates in their facilities.
This initiative aims to assist graduates in securing jobs aligned with their acquired qualifications, reducing unemployment, and fostering economic prosperity.
To commence the session, the Council will be informed of a question directed to Osama bin Ahmed Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, submitted by Sabika Khalifa Al Fadhala regarding centers, institutes, and the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
