Solid Bahrain and UAE ties praised

His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, has affirmed the strong historical and fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE and their keenness to develop them.

The Deputy Prime Minister commended the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE President, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in fostering stronger bilateral relations.

HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was speaking as he attended the reception organised by the Embassy of the UAE in Bahrain yesterday on the occasion of the 52nd Union Day of the Emirates. He was delegated to take part in the event by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the bilateral relations are a pioneering and wonderful model of what they should be between brotherly and friendly countries. He acknowledged the significant and trailblazing role played by the UAE in upholding regional security and stability, as well as its impactful contributions at the global level in uniting international efforts and proactively addressing challenges that have dangerous implications for humanity, particularly climate change.

In this context, he commended the UAE’s efforts in hosting the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), recognising it as a crucial global event and an effective international platform that will foster practical solutions to mitigate the consequences of climate change.

Bahrain reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at tackling shared challenges and achieving sustainable development, while expressing well wishes for further progress, advancement, and prosperity for the UAE. The hope was also expressed that both countries and their people continue to enjoy the blessings of security, safety, prosperity, and stability under their wise leadership.
