Allies in friendship, partners in progress

The longstanding and strong friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom is built on solid foundations of strategic partnerships in various domains.

This was affirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, while receiving UK Ambassador to Bahrain, HE Alastair Long, whom he wished a happy stay in the Kingdom, and every success in carrying out his diplomatic duties.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla asserted that Bahrain attaches utmost importance to enhancing its cooperation and coordination with the UK, by building on the previous joint achievements, which will benefit the two kingdoms and their peoples.

He stressed that reason and wisdom should be prioritised internationally so that peace prevails in the region and the world.

Global peace and stability

The Deputy Prime Minister commended the role played by the UK, along with brotherly and friendly countries, in safeguarding and establishing global peace and stability, the pillars of sustainable development.

The two sides also reviewed the latest regional and international developments. They also discussed issues of mutual interest, and ways to broaden bilateral cooperation.
