Deputy Premier hails India’s cooperation efforts

Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, commended India’s efforts to highlight the importance of cooperation among countries of the Global South and addressing urgent challenges by establishing and strengthening effective intra-partnerships.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla was speaking as he received Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, HE Vinod K. Jacob. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised Bahrain’s keenness on advancing the least developed economies through international cooperation.

He hailed India’s efforts to organise the second edition of the Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS) and its virtual closing session, including heads of state and government, under the theme “Global South: Together for One Future”, earlier this month.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla commended the outcomes of the summit and affirmed the importance of taking action towards the Global South and its condition. Ambassador Jacob thanked Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla for his participation in the summit, praising his keenness on developing relations between the two countries.
