In a significant event anticipated by students, graduates, and employers alike, the University of Bahrain is gearing up for the twentieth edition of its Career Fair, set to kick off today. The inauguration, under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, promises a dynamic convergence of academia and industry.

A total of 43 institutions and companies from diverse sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain are actively participating in this annual three-day event, underscoring its pivotal role in creating employment opportunities, fostering connections between graduates and potential employers, and aligning academic offerings with the evolving needs of the labour market.

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, emphasised the integral role of the Career Fair as a cornerstone in the university's annual calendar. Beyond a mere event, it has become an academic tradition, carefully orchestrated to prepare students and graduates for the realities of professional life.

Dr. Al-Ansari noted that the fair serves as a bridge, connecting the aspirations of University of Bahrain students with the dynamic requirements of the local and global job markets.

Multi-faceted initiative

The exhibition, extending over three days, is a multi-faceted initiative designed to foster meaningful connections between students and a spectrum of industries.

Dr. Al-Ansari highlighted its broader objectives, emphasizing the university's commitment to showcasing opportunities and expanding horizons for students to seamlessly transition into the labour market.

In line with this vision, the Career Fair facilitates direct interactions between institutions, companies, and the university. It goes beyond job announcements, providing students with valuable insights into labour regulations and laws.

The fair also serves as a platform to encourage students to explore approved job opportunities within various sectors and familiarise them with training and development programs offered by participating institutions.

The diverse sectors represented at the Career Fair play a pivotal role in developing students' relationships with companies. By showcasing career options and announcing available job vacancies, companies aim to engage with potential candidates, offering a unique platform for dialogue and mutual exploration.

As the curtains rise on the twentieth edition of the Career Fair at the University of Bahrain, the anticipation is high, echoing the institution's commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates and fostering partnerships that contribute to the advancement of Bahrain's workforce.
