Indian Ambassador graces BCICAI’s 15th Annual Conference opening ceremony

The 15th Annual Conference organized by Bahrain Chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI) themed “ABOVE & BEYOND” kicked off yesterday at The Diplomat Radisson BLU Hotel, Residence & Spa.
The inaugural session was a star-studded one with the August presence of His Excellency Shri Vinod K Jacob, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Hussain Rasool, Director of Communications at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Mr. Abbas Radhi, Chairman Bahrain Accountant Association, Swami Nirbhayananda, Chinmaya Mission India, and Mr. Jassim Abdulaal, Managing Partner Grant Thorton Abdulaal.
The day commenced with a traditional Bharatanatyam dance by Ms. Yazhini Surendran, daughter of CA member Surendran Ramesh followed a Diya lighting session by all the distinguished dignitaries. CA chairperson Sthanumurthy Viswanathan Meera delivered a welcome address, followed by the keynote address by Indian Cabinet Minister Shri. CA Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Textiles and Leader of the House, Rajya Sabha.
Other acclaimed speakers who graced the stage were, Dr. Ankit Shah, CA, CS, Mr. Nishith Saxena, Partner and Head of Technology Advisory Business, Grant Thorton Abdulaal, Mr. Dabeer Rasul, Partner PwC Middle East Risk Services, Mr. Zain Khalid, Director PwC Middle East Risk Services, CA Atul Kumar Gupta, Past President of ICAI (2020-21), Shri. Parameswaran Iyer, World Bank Executive Director, Ex Niti Ayog and Ms. Ami Ganatra, author of bestselling books on Itihasa: Mahabharata Unraveled & Ramayana Unraveled.
The entire inaugural session was presented by past chairperson CA Kapil Batra and over 200 plus audience attended the session including the members, sponsors, guest and speakers. Two-day event The conference is organized over a period of two days and today speakers include the Padma Bhushan Shri. Nambi Narayanan, who will be talking about the topic Life under Public Scrutiny, Retired Air Marshal Shri. P V Iyer, who will be discussing the topic Health for Professionals – Age is not an excuse. Swami Nirbhayananda will be talking about Human Potential Unlimited and other notable speakers who will be tackling various interesting topics.
