BCICAI’s 15th annual conference concludes on a high note

The weekend-long 15th Annual Conference, organised by the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI), themed “ABOVE & BEYOND,” came to a grand closure yesterday evening with the mesmerising speech of Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan.
Earlier in the day, Swami Nirbhayananda, Chinmaya Mission India, kicked off the day’s proceedings with his speech on Human Potential Unlimited. This was followed by a technical session from Arjun Prathap, Travelling the Future: Creating a Digital Mindset and Combating Technology Risks.
As part of the morning session, we also had Surendra M. Vaidya, Executive Vice President, Godrej Aerospace, who spoke about the success of the ISRO. The post-lunch conference started with Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor, ZEE Business, taking questions from the audience on various topics relating to the stock market, investment, personal finance, and so on.
Another technical session for the day included a topic on Transforming business through effective optimisation of processes by Satish Paul, Partner, Management Consulting and UK Powered Finance Lead, KPMG UK.
The penultimate session of the day was from retired Air Marshal P. V. Iyer, who took us through the topic Health for Professionals – Age is not an excuse with all his life experience on personal fitness training and long-distance marathon running.
The final session was by Nambi Narayanan, who spoke to the jam-packed audience on the topic Life under Public Scrutiny. The valedictory session was preceded by Vice Chairperson Vivek Gupta.
