The National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand was commemorated with a vibrant ceremony at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Manama yesterday. The event brought together Thai and Bahraini dignitaries, diplomats, and members of the local community to celebrate the long-standing friendship and growing cooperation between the two nations.
H.E. Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Thailand’s Ambassador to Bahrain, addressed the gathering, emphasising the significance of the relationship between the two countries. He commended the existing collaboration in various sectors and expressed a strong desire to further strengthen ties, particularly in the realm of tourism.
“Tourism plays a crucial role in Thailand’s economy,” Ambassador Sricharoen stated. “We see immense potential in welcoming more Bahraini visitors to experience the unique beauty, culture, and hospitality of our kingdom. This would not only generate revenue but also foster deeper cultural understanding and people-to-people connections.”
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, graced the occasion as the chief guest. His presence underscored the Bahraini government’s commitment to nurturing the bilateral relationship.
The evening unfolded with traditional Thai cultural performances, showcasing the country’s rich artistic heritage. Guests savored authentic Thai cuisine and engaged in lively conversations, solidifying the bonds of friendship and cultural appreciation.
