Private sector role vital in green investment for economic growth

Minister of Finance and National Economy of Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in promoting green investment and achieving economic growth.
He emphasised the significance of developing innovative solutions to tackle climate challenges and creating financial incentives to encourage private sector investment in green technologies.
Shaikh Salman was speaking as he atteded a high-level ministerial roundtable meeting held at the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai.
The Minister also mentioned the national action plan, “Blueprint Bahrain,” announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during his speech at COP28. The plan aims to achieve carbon neutrality and address climate change issues.
He expressed gratitude to the UAE for hosting the global conference and praised the UAE’s initiatives and investments in climate solutions and renewable energy.
