HRH Prince Salman hails growing Bahrain-UK ties

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, commended the historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are based on solid foundations of cooperation spanning over 200 years.

HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he met yesterday with the UK Ambassador to Bahrain, His Excellency Alastair Long, at Gudaibiya Palace. The Deputy King noted the mutual commitment to furthering bilateral relations through mutual visits and joint agreements to achieve mutual aspirations.

He highlighted the importance of the Bahrain-UK strategic partnership to enhance multisector collaboration. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hailed the UK’s role, alongside allied countries, in consolidating international security and peace, which supports development and prosperity in the region and internationally.

Meeting

During the meeting, regional and global developments, issues of common interest and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation were also discussed. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
