Bahrain court rejects compensation claim against dental centre

A Bahraini man's lawsuit against a dental treatment centre and its dentist, seeking compensation over BD10,000 was rejected by the High Civil Court.
The plaintiff claimed to have suffered damages from complications from a dental procedure. The court ruled that the dentist followed standard medical procedures and that the plaintiff complained about the complications six years after his last follow-up.
The plaintiff visited the center in 2015 for tooth pain and had all necessary procedures performed. However, he alleged deception and fraud, claiming porcelain material was used instead of zirconia, leading to complications requiring treatment at other centres.
In 2021, he filed a complaint with the National Health Regulatory Authority and filed a lawsuit, but the court dismissed the lawsuit.
