Over the course of five years, Export Bahrain has not only facilitated global partnerships but has emerged as a catalyst for success, embracing the diverse and inclusive nature of business operations.
With a growing network of over 45 partners, Export Bahrain has demonstrated its global reach by forging connections in more than 92 markets worldwide. Importantly, Export Bahrain has remained committed to promoting entrepreneurship and gender equality, with over 30% of its clients representing women entrepreneurs.
Such dedication to inclusivity has set Export Bahrain apart and further solidified its reputation as a trailblazer in the industry. The impact of Export Bahrain’s efforts is evident in the impressive figures it has achieved.
Facilitating over $600 million in export value, Export Bahrain has propelled Bahrain’s local businesses to new heights, enabling them to thrive in international markets. This outstanding accomplishment underscores Export Bahrain’s exceptional ability to create opportunities and drive economic growth by connecting Bahraini exporters with global trade partners.
As a result, the Kingdom of Bahrain has witnessed a surge in export-centric prosperity, with exporting businesses making significant contributions to the nation’s economic landscape. Export Bahrain’s commitment to excellence has been recognized on a global scale, with the entity receiving an impressive array of 15 prestigious global and local business awards since its inception.
These accolades serve as a testament to Export Bahrain’s tireless efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and their invaluable contributions to the export industry. In 2023, Export Bahrain achieved remarkable milestones in key markets, with Indonesia emerging as the top exporting market, generating an impressive amount of USD 5.7 million. Saudi Arabia closely followed with USD 5.5 million, and South Korea secured the third position with USD 5.3 million.
The manufacturing sector stood out as the leading economic contributor, accounting for an astounding 90% of total exports, with a value of USD 27 million. Notably, processed and packaged food products were a standout commodity, reaching a value of approximately USD 20 million, further highlighting the diverse and prosperous nature of Bahrain’s export industry.
Amidst this celebration, Export Bahrain successfully hosted the second iteration of Export Week, a dynamic initiative designed to cultivate export awareness and amplify opportunities for Bahraini exporters. The week-long series of events, held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), showcased Export Bahrain’s commitment to empowering exporters and fostering a thriving export ecosystem.
The workshops and activities organized by Export Bahrain attracted over 600 participants, providing them with tailored sessions to enhance their export skills and a comprehensive understanding of the support and services offered by Export Bahrain.
This initiative demonstrated Export Bahrain’s dedication to equipping businesses with the tools and knowledge needed to capitalize on the vast potential of regional and global markets. H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, commended Export Bahrain on its fifth anniversary and acknowledged its significant contributions to the growth of businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He lauded the entity’s exceptional support, which has resulted in over $600 million in export value.
