Bahrain King hails UAE’s successful COP28 hosting

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable to the UAE President, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, on the conclusion of the summit of the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which was hosted by the UAE in Expo City Dubai.
HM the King praised the distinguished efforts of the UAE in hosting COP28, which demonstrated its prominent status and influence globally.
His Majesty commended the UAE’s role, under the leadership of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed, in managing the conference’s negotiations and discussions which led to the historic agreement “The UAE Consensus”, which marks a new phase in international climate action to secure a better future for the planet.
His Majesty commended the summit’s results and the efforts of Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, COP28 President and UAE’s Special Envoy for Climate Change, and all Emirati teams involved in this event, wishing the UAE and its people further success and achievements under the leadership of His Highness the HM the King President.
