UN awards Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed ‘Pioneer in Humanitarian Work’ title

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees awarded the title of “Pioneer in Humanitarian Work” to Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, in appreciation of his efforts and the generous contributions made by RHF to support the UNHCR’s humanitarian response over the past years in several emergency displacement situations.
This came on the sidelines of the Global Refugee Forum held in Geneva, which is hosted by the UN in partnership with the Government of Switzerland, in the presence of a number of heads of state and ministers of countries and more than 3,500 participants from various countries of the world.
On this occasion, Dr. Al Sayed extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the RHF, for his initiatives in supporting humanitarian work and helping peoples and brotherly and friendly countries in the various humanitarian circumstances they are exposed to.
Dr. Al Sayed praised the great support that the Foundation enjoys from the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“We appreciate the great efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in leading the humanitarian work carried out by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation,” he said.
