With a total of 1,069 campaigns and inspection visits conducted, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) apprehended 100 workers found to be in violation of Bahrain's labour laws.
Additionally, 145 individuals were deported from the kingdom for their involvement in irregular employment practices. The LMRA made significant strides in maintaining labour regulations and enforcing compliance during the week of December 10–16.
With a comprehensive approach, the LMRA conducted 1,055 visits to commercial stores in all governorates, in addition to 14 joint inspection campaigns. Collaborating with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Labour, and other governmental bodies, the LMRA has demonstrated its commitment to fostering a compliant and secure labour market.
The LMRA stressed the importance of sustained coordination with government agencies, aiming to intensify inspection campaigns throughout Bahrain. To further strengthen their efforts, the LMRA called upon the collective support of society in combating illegal practices and irregular employment.
Individuals are urged to report grievances regarding labour market violations and irregular employment by utilising the dedicated electronic reporting form on the official LMRA website or by contacting the Authority’s call centre at 17506055. The National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) also provides an avenue for reporting such incidents.
