Shop till you drop at the Bahrain Autumn Fair!

Exhibition World Bahrain is once again buzzing with excitement as the highly anticipated Autumn Fair makes its grand return. This much-loved fair offers a one-stop shopping experience where visitors can browse and purchase a wide array of products, including perfumes, jewellery, clothes, and delectable food items.

The Autumn Fair commenced yesterday and will run for the next 10 consecutive days. During weekdays, the fair will be open from 10 am to 10 pm, while on weekends, it will open at 12 noon and close at 10 pm. The Daily Tribune had the opportunity to explore the Autumn Fair, speaking with several enthusiastic sellers about their plans for the event and the offerings they have in store for the public.

Mohammad, the proprietor of a stall specialising in Kashmiri handmade sweaters, expressed his excitement about showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. Offering a stunning collection of shawls, jackets, and bags, all meticulously crafted by hand, Mohammad’s prices range from BD10 to BD50. For premium materials, prices can go as high as BD800. He emphasised that Kashmiri shawls are particularly ideal for the winter season.

Enthusiasm

Hannan, the owner of Fashion Fit, shared her enthusiasm for selling a diverse range of items. Her stall boasts a variety of dresses featuring different patterns and colours, as well as handmade Abayas from Egypt.

Prices start at BD25. Hannan aims to showcase the traditional dresses of Egypt, adding an exotic touch to the fair. Farish’s Yemeni spice stall offers a delightful experience for food enthusiasts. Displaying an assortment of homemade Yemeni spices, including turmeric, coriander powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, Mandi masala, mixed masala, fish masala, and ginger masala, Farish provides one kilogram of these aromatic spices for a mere BD4 to BD6.

Nadeem, the proprietor of Shahzaib Jewellers, shared his excitement about participating in the Autumn Fair. Representing their branches in Muharraq and Manama, Shahzaib Jewellers offers Bahraini natural pearls and stunning Arab designs of gold necklaces and bangles. Nadeem hopes to achieve substantial profits during the 10-day fair.

Vintage pieces

Waseem, from a furniture stall, aims to captivate visitors with Pakistani-made furniture and exquisitely designed vintage pieces. The collection exudes a regal charm, with cupboards priced at BD100, tables at BD120, and single chairs at BD20.

Waseem pointed out that traditional design furniture is often exorbitantly priced elsewhere, making the fair an excellent opportunity for visitors to acquire such items at reasonable rates. The Autumn Fair promises to be a remarkable event filled with an abundance of cultural experiences and a wide range of products. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere while exploring the offerings from various stalls. With its diverse array of goods and activities, the Autumn Fair is sure to be a delightful experience for all.
