Focus on Bahrain-Egypt social care cooperation

The Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt discussed topics related to the fields of social protection, supporting voluntary and charitable work, and enhancing the role of civil society organisations.
This came as His Excellency Osama bin Ahmed Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, met Nevine El Kabbaj, Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers, hosted by Egypt.
They also reviewed the pioneering experiences in these fields to consolidate the social protection network system, in accordance with the principles of community partnership with all governmental, private and civil sectors, within the framework of achieving sustainable development.
Al Asfoor lauded Egypt’s experience in enhancing social care and protection services, as well as supporting civil work. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences in a way that contributes to boosting the development and social fields, stressing the need to enhance joint Arab cooperation to achieve social security.
