Indian School Bahrain new Executive Committee assumes office

The newly elected Executive Committee of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) for the term 2023-2026 assumed office on Wednesday, December 20. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Secretary Rajapandian Varada Pillai, Vice-Chairman Dr. Mohammed Faisal, Asst.

Secretary Ranjini Mohan, Executive Committee Members Mithun Mohan, Bonny Joseph, Biju George, Continuity Member Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas were inducted in the ceremony.

The induction ceremony featured the Labour Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary Ahmed J Al Haiki as the chief guest. The outgoing Chairman, Prince S Natarajan, who served the school for nine years, presided over the ceremony.

Outgoing Chairman Prince Natarajan, Secretary Saji Antony and Executive Committee members Binu Mannil Varughese, Premalatha NS, Rajesh MN, Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, and Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy were honoured with mementos. Chairman received mementos on behalf of Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani and EC members Ajayakrishnan V, Saji George, and Deepak Gopalakrishnan in their absence.

Muhammad Hussain Malim, the patron of Progressive Parents Alliance (PPA), along with convener Vipin PM, former school chairman PV Radhakrishna Pillai, Dr PV Cheriyan, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony. Principal VR Palaniswamy extended a warm welcome to the gathering.

Principal VR Palaniswamy informed that on December 18, the new and outgoing Executive Committees held a joint meeting to elect the new chairman and continuity member. He expressed confidence that the new committee would elevate the school to greater heights, building upon the successes of the previous Executive Committee in overcoming various challenges. Outgoing Chairman Prince Natarajan, in his speech, expressed gratitude for the tremendous support given to the school.

He highlighted the challenges and achievements of the past 9 years, emphasizing the school’s academic excellence, financial stability, and transparency. He assured the new Executive Committee of full support in leading the school to even greater achievements. Principal VR Palaniswamy administered the oath of office to the incoming Chairman, Binu Mannil Varughese, and the chief guest, Ahmed J Al Haiki, pinned the badge.
