Despite concerted efforts to resolve traffic issues ahead of the upcoming celebrations, commuters across Bahrain continue to face significant difficulties in navigating from one point to another. The surge in traffic can be largely attributed to the increased number of people engaging in grocery shopping, as supermarkets have enticed shoppers with steep discounts in preparation for Christmas and New Year’s.
Local authorities and transportation agencies have been working diligently to mitigate the traffic congestion, implementing measures such as optimising traffic signal timings and deploying additional personnel to manage intersections.
However, the overwhelming demand and the allure of discounted prices have resulted in a sustained influx of vehicles on the roads, causing delays and frustration for commuters. Efforts to alleviate the traffic woes are ongoing, but it remains crucial for both authorities and residents to work together to ensure smoother traffic flow during this festive period.
