Bahrain to host GCC Radio and Television Festival

Bahrain will be hosting the 16th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival next year. Information Minister Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi discussed the Kingdom’s preparations and arrangements for the event in a meeting with Gulf Radio and Television Organisation director-general Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani.

Information Ministry Radio and Television Affairs assistant undersecretary Abdulla Khalid Al Dosari was also on hand. The parties talked about the efforts Bahrain has made to ensure the success of this important Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) event.

Dr. Al Noaimi commended the vital and influential role played by the Gulf Radio and Television Organisation in strengthening joint GCC media action, being more expressive of aspects of GCC states’ development and progressive strides, and improving the artistic and technical levels of GCC radio and television production.

The Information Minister affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to harness all potentials to ensure the success of the festival in 2024, as it is an important occasion to honour GCC creative people and artists. He underlined the Kingdom’s pride in hosting the biennial event, stressing its keenness to ensure that it will be more successful than the previous editions.

Al Qahtani expressed thanks and appreciation to the Information Minister for his constant support for efforts to enhance joint GCC media cooperation.
