Simplifying compliance and saving time for businesses, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced yesterday the trial launch of its Electronic Settlement service, “E-Settlement”. This innovative initiative enables employers to swiftly settle eligible criminal violations electronically, without the need for in-person visits.
“LMRA is committed to leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and improve ease of use for our clients,” explained LMRA Enforcement and Protection Sector deputy CEO Noora Isa Mubarak. “E-Settlement builds upon our recent launches of other electronic and virtual services, all currently undergoing trial and evaluation for full-scale implementation.”
This user-friendly platform expedites the resolution process, allowing employers to settle eligible criminal violations electronically from the comfort of their office, pay settlement fees instantly through secure online channels or accredited bank, and rectify the legal status of the establishments, and remove administrative notices. “E-Settlement offers a convenient and efficient alternative for resolving eligible violations,” said LMRA Labour Inspection acting director Marzouq Abdul Karim Salem.
“Employers receive a notification via SMS and email, and, upon approval, they can initiate the E-Settlement process through our online ‘E-Support’ system.” The streamlined workflow involves electronic application submission and processing, automatic invoice generation upon approval, and instant violation clearance upon making the settlement payment. For further information or inquiries, contact the LMRA Call Centre on 17506055.
