The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) released their Calendar 2024 at a function held at the Indian Embassy Hall. The wall calendar and desk calendar were designed featuring artwork of the top five winners of each group, selected from the recently held annual art carnival, Faber Castell Spectra 2023.
Indian Embassy second secretary Ravi Singh released the desk calendar while Faber Castell country head Abdul Shukoor released the wall calendar. This took place in the presence of Indian School chairman Binu Mannil, Malabar Gold country manager Mohammed Rafeeque, ICRF chairman Dr Babu Ramachandran, and other ICRF officials. The art carnival aimed at encouraging and honing artistic skills among the youth.
It was the largest art competition for students in the Kingdom. Winners were selected from nearly 2,500 participants who joined the competition, held last month at the Indian School Isa Town premises. They were honoured by Indian Ambassador Sri Vinod Jacob. Net proceeds from the competition will go towards a Family Welfare Fund to provide relief to support the families of deceased Indian labourers drawing wages below BD125 per month.
