Seventh-week camping season winners honoured

The weekly award of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, continues to select the best camp for the 2023-2024 camping season.

His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has honoured the winners of the best camp award of the seventh week of the camping season, in the presence of the Deputy Governor Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayat and a number of security officers and Governorate officials.

On this occasion, His Highness the Southern Governor extended his profound thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Nasser for the initiative, which raised awareness among campers to follow security and environment protection rules.

He said that the award would continue every week until the end of the season on 29 February 2024, as the award has been well received by the campers, reflecting His Highness’ desire to see the success of the camping season.

Security His Highness the Southern Governor said that the award’s organising committee had previously visited several camps to ensure that they met the security, organisational and environmental standards, which are the requirements that participants must adhere to be eligible for the prize.

The award winners expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for taking such a distinguished initiative to ensure campers’ safety in the wilderness and they thanked the Southern Governorate for organizing this distinguished award and ensuring everyone’s safety.
