HM King Hamad commends Bahrain’s tourism achievements

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa lauded the successes and strides of Bahrain’s tourism sector. HM the King cited its expansion following the launch of many projects, facilities, and tourist resorts, which reflects the Kingdom’s attractive environment for tourism investments.
He noted that tourism has become vital sector, and an important tributary of the national economy. His Majesty was speaking as he visited yesterday a number of vital projects in the Southern Governorate, including the Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain.
HM the King affirmed that the kingdom is making steadfast strides towards more development and progress, which will consolidate its success and advancement, as well as strengthen its competitive potential, increase its achievements and maintain its gains.
HM King Hamad praised the Kingdom’s rich historical, civilisational, cultural, heritage and tourism monuments and landmarks, entitling it to be an ideal destination for visitors and tourists, which has enhanced its prestigious status and distinguished presence on the regional, Arab and international tourism map.
Warm welcome During his visit, HM the King, who was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM’s Personal Representative and President of the Supreme Council for Environment, was welcomed upon arrival by Marie Berengere Chapoton, the General Manager of Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, and several officials.
He toured the hotel, and was informed about its modern facilities, luxurious resorts and recreational areas. His Majesty was briefed about the development stages of the mega hotel and resort project, as well as the various advanced services it provides.
HM King Hamad expressed his admiration for the hotel’s designs and distinctive modern facilities, noting that it will boost the tourism sector in the Kingdom and contribute to its diversity and continuous progress. He wished those in charge of Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain continued success.
