Coast Guard joint maritime exercise concludes

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, attended the conclusion of the joint maritime exercise “Vigilant Guard12” of the Coast Guard, with the participation of various Interior Ministry’s directorates, the Royal Bahrain Naval Force and the National Guard.
The Chief was briefed on the preparations and implementation of the drill within realistic scenarios and security procedures. He hailed the competency of officers, other ranks and participating authorities.
He also applauded their capabilities and outstanding performance in protecting maritime security and safety. Furthermore, he praised the instruction of His Excellency of the Interior Minister to set plans and programmes for active field events and training. He hailed the active participation of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force and the National Guard and their role in the event’s success through the unification of procedures, reinforcement of cooperation, security preparedness, and development of fieldwork.
Outstanding success
The Chief affirmed that the exercise had achieved outstanding success in enhancing training, planning, and procedures necessary to protect vital facilities and maintain maritime security and safety, indicating his pride in the spirit of cooperation and coordination within the framework of joint security work and performing tasks in a disciplined and integrated approach. He added that the annual advanced exercise is an opportunity to test strength and readiness.
